I am married to a fabulous man who was a Marine and is now a student at Texas A&M Corpus Christi studying mechanical engineering. We have an adventurous 20 something daughter who spent a year in Australia and is now back in Colorado planning her next adventure; we also have elementary age mad scientist who would love to be the next YouTube sensation.
I have been a volleyball player my whole life and I am always looking for a good game.
I attended Cerritos Community College in California where I participated in Volleyball and Track and Field. I then went on to attend Long Beach State University in California where I was fortunate enough to receive a full ride scholarship to throw the Javelin and receive my Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education. I also have my Masters degree in Education Administration from Grand Canyon University.
There is just something awesome about seeing someone become stronger, healthier and happier. I am thrilled by the smile they get on their face when they succeed at something that has been a challenge in the past.
I enjoy working at Pinnacle for the people, both the staff and the clients. I have learned so much from Adam and Robbie and I am so impressed with the quality of work the clients put in each time they workout. No matter your age, fitness level or athletic ability Pinnacle has a way for you to train like the Champion you want to be and is committed to your success.
I enjoy working with people who are striving to find the Champion within themselves. I believe that each one of us has a Champion who strives to be the best they can be and I hope to help people bring that out.
I have been fortunate to have had great coaches in my lifetime who have helped me. Carl Warrell, Richard Hack and Josh Crill to name a few. I am also looking forward to all that I will learn from Adam Farrell.
I train to fight bad genetics. Losing my father when he was 60 and having a mother who is always fighting a weight problem and not having grandparents who are alive makes me strive to change my family tree. I also train to be a strong role model for girls and women who are not sure what the definition of beautiful really is. I am a true believer that being physically strong is a key to be mentally and emotionally strong.
Though the mountains of Colorado are beautiful I hate having to trek through them. I would pick a beach run over a mountain hike anytime.
If you could travel or do one thing in the world where money was not an object what would it be?
I would own my own island in the Caribbean Sea.
My favorite piece of equipment is a C2 Rowing machine. They are so versatile and the overall body workout is incredible.
My favorite exercise movement is the power clean. There is just something about moving heavy weight from the ground to shoulders in one movement.
What is your favorite dish (breakfast lunch dinner or snack)?
Grilled chicken, cauliflower rice and mashed potatoes.
What goes into your post workout shake?
SFH Chocolate protein, berries, a kale cube and coconut water.
My Favorite Book is the Mind Gym. It is a book about the psychology of sport within each athlete’s mind. I have trained many teams using the tools from the book and I think anyone would benefit from the concept.
